We have a two bedroom at Orange Lake Resort, (Unit 3205, week 18, 96,000 points annually).

We have a two bedroom at Orange Lake Resort, (Unit 3205, week 18, 96,000 points annually). 2017 maintenance fees and property taxes are $887.56. We want to sell to anyone who will cover the transfer fees/closing costs. Anyone know how much these fees are typically? Any advice for advertising and selling?

Why do we have to buy into Holiday Inn club if they bought Silverleaf Resorts.

Why do we have to buy into Holiday Inn club if they bought Silverleaf Resorts. I already own a week bought and pd for and still have to pay their increase in dues and an exchange fee to get time with points. Doesn't make sense.

I am currently a owner of Cape Canaveral resort for 210,000 points.

I am currently a owner of Cape Canaveral resort for 210,000 points.

Question 1: If I want to upgrade to preferred memebership, could I buy more points from resale? It has to be Cape Canaveral or could from other resorts, for example, Geneva Lake?

Question 2: Is it worth to upgrade to a preferred membership? Obviously, we have to pay more maintance fee.

Thanks

Stephen

I own week 51 and 52 at OLCC.

I own week 51 and 52 at OLCC. I purchased them 3rd party. Last year I went to the presentation and was offered to convert to points if I purchased a week. I am concerned about converting to points because I want to protect the weeks that I have because I plan on using one of the weeks every year. However, I like the option of being able to take my second week and upgrade to a 3 bedroom or change the week that I don't use for the week that I am there so that I can have another family join us on our vacation. The sales people make the point system sound so good and that I will not have problems with exchanges and the weeks that I want will be there unlike RCI. I am looking for advice from those that have purchase a week from the developer so that they can convert their fixed weeks to points.

I own two weeks at OLCC in Orlando and am not on the points system with OLCC.

I own two weeks at OLCC in Orlando and am not on the points system with OLCC. RCI however converts these weeks to points and they seem to be worth about 125,000 points each per year. It seems like most people are satisfied with the HIVC points system and since I never bought in, I am still on weeks with OLCC. My question is this: since I am close to having 300,000 HIVC points (need about 50,000 more) is there a backdoor into the HIVC program by buying a week every other year on the secondary market at a points only resort? Or do I have to cough up the 4 or 5K that the company wants to convert my points and buy the week every other year through them?

Hi, I own at Silverleaf and the dues just went up to 1080 a year. Would it be worth it for me to upgrade too HICV and how much lower would my dues be?

I had a couple of ownership transfers put on hold by HICV because of billing - t appears they don't complete any transfers in November while they are generating bills. This means that my two deeds for recent purchases that were sent to OLCC in early October didn't complete until early December.

I wanted to follow-up on a previous post of mine earlier in the year.

I wanted to follow-up on a previous post of mine earlier in the year. At the end of April, 2016, I purchased a resale silverleaf ambassador unit week 8 at Holiday Hills Resort for $100. In June, 2016 when it got deeded to me it was turned into points 125,000 on HICV side with bonus time on the silverleaf side. The maintenance fees for 2017 are $63.55 up from $61.11 in 2016. The clear benefit I know have access to all 26 resorts. I am no longer a step child. I also have two high red presidential units on the silverleaf side maintenance fees in 2017 are $154.36 up from $148.42 in 2016.
Does anyone know if we receive a RCI membership when purchasing HICV points on the secondary market ? Thanks
