Since my access is still down, can someone check on availability of Galveston from 2/3-2/26?

Since my access is still down, can someone check on availability of Galveston from 2/3-2/26?  Looking for availability of 1BR Deluxe and 2BR Select - I can call and rent points tomorrow, but if someone has points and is interested in renting the unit to me, let me know the rental costs of the 2 options.

Thanks,

Scott

My HICV access is still down.

My HICV access is still down...can anyone check Galveston 1BR  availability 3/5-3/12 and let me know what the rental price would be?  I can borrow points, but would consider renting....also, let me know if availability is good or bad (Q and K available, 1 or both say limited)

I realized that Odd units only counting towards status in Even years would explain all of my issues with status.

I realized that Odd units only counting towards status in Even years would explain all of my issues with status.  Even when I temporarily had status in mid-2015, I think my contract might have been entered as Annual instead of Odd originally, and then fixed a couple of weeks later.  Back then when I called to ask about status, I was told that resale purchases don't count towards status, but everything since them seems to indicate otherwise.

Can anybody else with Odd/Even units confirm whether this is correct or not?

Not sure if it's allowed here or if anyone is interested.  Is anyone interested in sharing the HOA passwords?

I have quite a few and would be willing to share if anyone is interested.

Gives you nice insight into recent updates, unit renovations and meeting notes.

Ok, My fees have posted for 2016.

Ok, My fees have posted for 2016.  I have 272,000 for 1706.  That's $6.3 per 1000 points.  I'm wondering how this compares and how much of an increase it is over last year?

Also, I noticed that rented points available are based on next year's points just like points available for borrowing (in the case of Prestige, 90%) - I would have expected it to be based on this year's points.  Maybe everything is based on points for the following year, and that's why I have status in Even years for Odd units.

Happy New Year!

Happy New Year!

I still have status, even though I've never purchased a unit directly from HICV.  Does anybody else who has only purchased units at points resorts and has 300K points or more have status, or am I just lucky?

In fact, another unit was added to my account this week, making my total 614K Annual and 150K Odd - based on odd/even counting at 50%, I thought I would still be Premier, but I am now showing up as Prestige!  And this is an Even year!  This suggest that odd/even might count fully towards status and not just 50%...

Also, my upgrades/free stay did not reset at the end of the year like I thought they might - anyone know exactly what the timeframe for earning and using these benefits is?

Finally, I made an offer earlier in the year to be a market maker for HICV points units with maintenance under $6/1K points.

I'm updating that to be buying for $5-$10/1K and selling for $10-$20/1K based on maintenance costs - lower end is for $6/1K maintenance and higher is for $4/1K maintenance.

Here's an example - 131K annual Gatlinburg unit has $720 annual maintenance, which is $5.50/1K.  I will pay $819 (including closing) for another such unit and/or sell my current one for $1638 (including closing costs).
