I am currently a owner of Cape Canaveral resort for 210,000 points.

I am currently a owner of Cape Canaveral resort for 210,000 points.

Question 1: If I want to upgrade to preferred memebership, could I buy more points from resale? It has to be Cape Canaveral or could from other resorts, for example, Geneva Lake?

Question 2: Is it worth to upgrade to a preferred membership? Obviously, we have to pay more maintance fee.

    Resale points do not count towards status, but purchases from all hicv resorts count towards status. Hicv conversion packages start at about $8k-$10k, so generally speaking it only makes sense if you negotiate to bring in 3-4 resale units at the same time and get elite status.
