I own two weeks at OLCC in Orlando and am not on the points system with OLCC.
I own two weeks at OLCC in Orlando and am not on the points system with OLCC. RCI however converts these weeks to points and they seem to be worth about 125,000 points each per year. It seems like most people are satisfied with the HIVC points system and since I never bought in, I am still on weeks with OLCC. My question is this: since I am close to having 300,000 HIVC points (need about 50,000 more) is there a backdoor into the HIVC program by buying a week every other year on the secondary market at a points only resort? Or do I have to cough up the 4 or 5K that the company wants to convert my points and buy the week every other year through them?

The only way to convert your fixed weeks to points is to buy a new unit from Orange Lake. That is what I did. The last time I looked, the minimum purchase required was around $8000. They will let you convert two to three weeks units to points if you do that.
