I wrote to HICV - concerning the timeshare that took a decade to transfer. The only response was - pay up. OH well. I enjoy my timeshare weeks and points too much to let a few Kilobucks stop me from using them.

I did ask about the possibility of enrolling the recently transferred timeshare into the HICV club - and amazingly they agreed. They sent paperwork that listed not only that new unit - but also the old one that is already enrolled. The big catch was that the enrollment is good for only three years.

Is there a way to tell whether a 2BR at Las Vegas is a lock off? I haven't seen any differences in descriptions of units except some are listed as 2BR Deluxe which is not in HICV information.

Wife, as sole and separate property
Wife and Husband, as joint tenants with right of survivorship
Husband and Wife, as joint tenants with right of survivorship

How many different HICV accounts will be created? Does name order on the deed matter? Does order of deeds into HICV matter? In Escapes, I believe the account was based on the first name on a deed, which would put these into two different accounts (Husband and Husband first in one account and Wife and Wife first in second account).

I bought a unit at summer bay in 2007.

I bought a unit at summer bay in 2007. The transfer of that unit was messed up and I received a refund from the timeshare reseller.

Amazingly, after a decade, Orange Lake has finally completed the transfer. Unfortunately, they have also sent me past due bills for unpaid dues, late fees, interest, and collections. They had been sending the bill to the previous owner - up until June this year.

Needless to say, they responded little to my complaints - and merely pointed out that my rights for all of my ownership, that were suspended because I was so far in arrears, could be restored by just paying the bill.

Ebay currently has a listing for a South Beach Studio 1br unit with 26k annual points with maintenance fees set at $473 which comes out to a little more than $18 per 1K points. Is this typical? If so, isn't that a terrible price to be paying for so few points?
