Is there a known reliable method of calculating what maintenance fees would be for converting Silverleaf units? I know how the check what point values are assigned to each, but can't make sense of the maintenance fee conversion.

Has anyone recently bought HICV points on resale, and tried transferring them into IHG rewards points?

Has anyone recently bought HICV points on resale, and tried transferring them into IHG rewards points?

I know from experience from the points that I bought retail, I have been able to transfer HICV points to IHG rewards club points at a 5:4 ratio and nominal fee.

I am currently in the process of buying HICV points on resale and the seller/broker told me that I would not be able to transfer them to IHG rewards. Has anyone heard of this. I thought you would be able to transfer them, as the points would be banked/mixed in with my other points (bought retails, go figure). I would like to know how this would be policed. Does anyone know if this is true? Is it written anywhere?

Scott Kotrla, I am in the process of buying 150,000 points at South Beach (Myrtle Beach) on the resale market. I currently own 321,000 point and 80,000 annual points which I purchased through retail which makes me a preferred member. Is there a way to get the 150,000 point I am purchasing on resale to count towards my member status? Is there someone I should contact?

I have seen some people post in this community to call OL directly, but who do I call at OL?

If I have to purchase retail from HICV, how much do I have to purchase to have my 150,000 point at South Beach to be included into my status?

I would love any and all advice. thanks!

So I'm wondering what happens now when you try to buy a HICV unit and you have resale units in your account?

So I'm wondering what happens now when you try to buy a HICV unit and you have resale units in your account? For example, if you try to buy a biennial unit to complement your existing biennial unit?

1) HICV won't sell you the biennial unit because the purchase is not large enough to convert the resale units in your account.

2) The resale weeks automatically show up in the HICV contract for the biennial, but HICV won't convert them and/or give status for them. You would have to fight with HICV to either convert the units as stated in the contract or refund your money.

3) The resale weeks don't show up in the HICV contract for the biennial.

4) The resale weeks automatically show up in the HICV contract for the biennial, and HICV converts them and gives status for them.

In my only HICV purchase, all units I owned showed up as points and total status level was based on all units.

I have unit # 86336 @ Orange Lake, week 49, 2 bedroom on even years, 100,000 points. Bought back in 2013. Looking to get out of it totally.

I inquired about converting a property I was going to buy of of eBay this week and I was told that new policy is you need to buy the same number of points from developer to transfer in a unit. In the past I paid much less then that to convert. They told me if my unit was worth 110,000 points I would need to pay 21,000 to convert. Have you heard that yet?

I have a Silver Leaf even year timeshare.

I have a Silver Leaf even year timeshare. I have two weeks and unlimited free stays Sundays-Thursdays with Saturdays & Sundays costing $50 each a night.
I have been receiving calls for almost a year from SL to come to sales and update presentation about HICV's acquisition.
My inquiry is how much do I have to spend to transfer my SL to HICV? The point system sounds awesome - especially if you can use them on hotels - is that the case? I travel for work and stay at HIE often - will those points combine with HICV?

How do biennial units count towards rental point limits?

Based on what I can see, you can rent points equal to the sum of annual + odd + even units. For example, I have a 150K odd unit and a 150K even unit - those two units allow me to rent 300K points every year as an Elite member.

Does everyone else see rental point limits the same?

My husband and I purchased a time share in Orange Lake back in 2014.

My husband and I purchased a time share in Orange Lake back in 2014. He has since lost his job and my financial situation took a major hit. I was paying the mortgage faithfully and on time every month, but in the full scheme of things, I can no longer afford this. I am willing to sell this and even take a loss if necessary. I have a couple of questions -

I owe maintenance and want to sell points to pay for this - is this possible?
How easy is it to sell this? I really need to get from up under it and am willing to let it go into foreclosure.
