I just received a bunch of duplicate reservation confirmations from HICV for upcoming trips with Sandbox in the title - anyone else?

A couple of points units were added to the account over the weekend - we now have Elite status! It seems like HICV changed the way they calculate - Odd and Even units both seem to be counting fully towards status (before it seemed like only odd units were counting this year). Previously, our points available for rent equaled Annual + Odd and now it equals Annual + Odd + Even. Has anyone else noticed a change in status? With only Annual + Odd, we would still be Prestige, so this change is definitely a good thing!
Also, I noticed that all existing reservations had PointShield applied retroactively! Nice benefit, since I'm a cheapskate and don't normally pay the extra $35...

Stayed at the new HICV Scottsdale last week.
Stayed at the new HICV Scottsdale last week. We had a three bedroom unit. Very nice. The facility is still not running at 100%. Three of four pools are open, and the restaurant is still closed. The staff was somewhat invisible. Not much in the way of activities on site, however its a great location and close to a lot. We spent several days hiking, ate at some great restaurants. Cooked several meals in the well equipped kitchen. I can definitely recommend this location. I did not look into the cost of buying additional points.

Has anyone here considered purchasing at a Silverleaf resort on the resale market before it gets rebranded to HICV?
Has anyone here considered purchasing at a Silverleaf resort on the resale market before it gets rebranded to HICV? Use that method to get more points without the developer conversion cost. I thought that might be useful, but of course you don't know how the weeks will be valued, so it would be difficult to know you are getting a good Maint$/1k point value.

Hi all
Hi all,
I'm new to the Holiday Inn Vacation. I am an owner and own two properties in Las Vegas. They give me 323,000 annual points. I am from Canada and our exchange is horrible, but I am looking to some how get to the magic 500,000 point mark without buying from the sales team at Holiday Inn. Is this possible to buy a holiday inn club vacation property off eBay and still get that status?? Would save me a bunch of money...,.

Update
Update
-----------
Turns out transferring points is generally not allowed between accounts without an owner in common. The only exception is transferring remaining points on an account from a seller to a buyer after a transaction on the resale market. Oh well...
Original Post
---------------------
I sent a note to HICV inquiring about a one-time transfer of HICV points and was told that it can be done:
From HICV:
"A one-time transfer can be completed. The original owner would need to submit a written request to ownersupport@holidayinnclub.com along with their membership information, to complete the transfer."
My current cost per 1K points is $5.22. I am interested in purchasing up to 100K 2015 or 2016 points at this price point. Let me know if you are interested.
Thanks,
Scott

Since my access is still down, can someone check on availability of Galveston from 2/3-2/26?
Since my access is still down, can someone check on availability of Galveston from 2/3-2/26? Looking for availability of 1BR Deluxe and 2BR Select - I can call and rent points tomorrow, but if someone has points and is interested in renting the unit to me, let me know the rental costs of the 2 options.
Thanks,
Scott

I realized that Odd units only counting towards status in Even years would explain all of my issues with status.
I realized that Odd units only counting towards status in Even years would explain all of my issues with status. Even when I temporarily had status in mid-2015, I think my contract might have been entered as Annual instead of Odd originally, and then fixed a couple of weeks later. Back then when I called to ask about status, I was told that resale purchases don't count towards status, but everything since them seems to indicate otherwise.
Can anybody else with Odd/Even units confirm whether this is correct or not?
