Based on the dates in my dad's account, you get status for 1 year if you get points through resale.

If you don't have that expiration date listed, then you are flagged in the system as having made a retail purchase from HICV, making any status you have permanent.

Has anybody made a HICV purchase to get status to lower than Elite and then added points via resale to get to Elite? If so, they can look for this expiration date in their account to see if their status boost is temporary or permanent.

  1. Yes, I had to follow all the new rules. Expensive, but in my view, worth it.

  3. Scott, all my properties are now processed. Website account overview shows me as elite, I see all my points, I see my 7 day comp stay. I still see my expiry, but I think that’s meaningless. After the deadline expires, I’m quite sure I’ll still have elite benefits. My guess is that your dad is in the same boat. Brian, I agree. I have been working to become elite for the past 10 years and am excited to be past the finish line! Just booked a family reunion in Cape Canaveral and am counting the days!
