I don't think I've ever heard this happening before with HICV, but I had an offer accepted by a seller to purchase points at South Beach for a great price.  I'm two weeks into the closing process and I just heard back from the broker that HICV has exercised their ROFR.  Has anyone else had that happen to them?  I've heard of Disney and others propping up their selling prices, but this might be new territory for HICV.

  1. When ever they need new inventory to sell they will step in and buy it. They will be offering that unit for around $28K. Some unfortunate soul will pay that amount and then stop here and find out that they purchased it for $200. This almost sounds like an episode out of South Park. How did you find this unit?

  2. It was listed on MyResortNetwork and had just been marked down to $1,000.  They accepted my offer of $200.
