Who owns at Desert Club?

Who owns at Desert Club? Anyone attend the annual meetings? I'd like to start attending. Is anyone aware of any discussions to use HICV points as the floating reservation system like South Beach and Smoky Mountain do? My understanding is that this could be voted on and approved by the owners. Seems like this would be relatively easy to pass given that it would dramatically increase resale value of Desert Club units.

  1. There is a membership fee for being a points member $126 (2016 membership guide)

The fee is well worth it when you consider the flexibility the points program gives you.

  2. Jerry Ackerman A Desert Club non-point owner can book a week every year for no cost beyond maintenance - a points owner pays $59 reservation fee and a $126 member fee for the same stay.

  3. I own a week non-club season 4 and a week club membership 169K. I use the week every year for either christmas or New Years. I have used the points across the nation from NYC (manhattan club), San Diego, Tahoe, gatlinburgh, and even other resorts in Las Vegas. Best $206.25 ever spent.
