Dates: 2/19-2/23
Property: Las Vegas
Unit Size: 2BR
Points: 39.6K (free upgrade from 1BR Deluxe)
Point Shield: Y (free)
Your Cost: 39.6K x 5 + 59 = $257
Terms: 10% overhead for you, payment up front, total $283 via Paypal F&F
Refund Policy: All but the $65 ($59 + 10%) if canceled within 72 hours of arrival
I'll make the reservation in my name initially, but then I'll change to a guest a couple of weeks before.
This post is a good example why owning your own points unit at $5.50/1K in maintenance is better than relying on rentals. I've tapped an alternate source for this reservation, but was looking to diversify. I have 4 units on the way and will be able to borrow 2018 points in 2 months on my existing units, but HICV points units continue to be an incredible value.
