I'm curious to know which closing company folks have used to complete your points purchase transfers and how much you paid (if not paid by the seller). I see closing fees ranging from $299 to $675 and from what I can tell, they all work at about the same slow pace.

Every timeshare I've purchased has required closing through the seller's affiliate. I consider closing to be part of the price, so I don't really track it separately - whether a timeshare is $500 with free closing or free with $500 closing is the same to me. When I sell timeshares, I normally handle closing myself - for HICV, fees to 3rd parties are in the $150 range, so $300 is reasonable.

I was able to negotiate down the closing fees from $650 to $575 on my last purchase. It is worth asking if there is any wiggle room in this total, especially if the closing fees are over $600.
